On Saturday January 13th, Applecrate Galleries was alive and happening for the opening of Tim Watt’s new exhibition “Following the Light — A Photographic Journey”. From the moment the doors opened, until late into the evening, there was a steady stream of visitors entering the gallery to have a look at Tim’s masterful photography, and arriving with hopes of discussing his craft with him. Tim did not disappoint, spending most of the evening surrounded by photographic enthusiasts who were leaning in to hear everything he had to say about his artistic process.
At first glance, you can see what the buzz is about. The clarity and amazing depth of light that Tim is able to bring to his images is nothing short of breathtaking! Through Tim’s photographic technique, he is able to give us an eye’s view of his scenes, removing the restrictions of aperture, focal depth, and exposure. Tim has truly pushed the boundaries with his perfect marriage of artistic expression and technology. His work is striking in its clarity, vibrancy and depth, they are larger than life.
The evening of the vernissage was energetic, with everyone eager to get lost in Tim’s photos, and take in every word Tim had to say. As always, everyone was able to enjoy a glass of wine and munchies alongside beautiful art and good company.
If you missed the opening or just need to see the show one more time, the show will be running until March 2nd, 2018. We are far enough into the show schedule that any purchases can be taken home at the time of sale, to be enjoyed for years to come.
